Sprint Racing

SUP sprint racing is a 100 to 150 metre race in a straight line that challenges the athletes' paddling speed.  It is the fastest discipline in SUP. This event will start off a pontoon, standing start, held in position by marshals.  Competitors will sit with the stern of their board against the pontoon. On the start signal, sprint to the beach, once landed on the sand it’s a short sprint (5m max) to the finish line.  Depending on numbers, competitors can expect up to three races.
