Exploring a wild island landscape.
The Faroe Islands are a remote archipelago in the North Atlantic Ocean, shaped by rugged cliffs, green landscapes and captivating fjords.
I travelled with filmmaker and photographer Will Reddaway, who created Circumnavigate, the story of The Long Paddle. Together we explored the islands by stand-up paddleboard, discovering their beauty from the water.
The journey also offered an opportunity to learn first-hand about the islands’ whaling tradition, including the practice of grindadráp, and reflect on the relationship between coastal communities, culture and the sea.
